What is Alpha?
We invite everyone who wants to learn more about the Christian faith or who is looking for answers to their questions to take part in the Alpha course.
Topics
The Alpha Course consists of a series of conversations covering key aspects of the Christian faith:
- Who is Jesus?
- What is the Church?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- How and why should I pray?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
The first Alpha Course took place in spring 2011 and was attended by 40 people.
Who is the Alpha Course for?
- For those who want to learn the basics of Christianity
- For those who are just starting their Christian path,
- For those who have returned to the Church,
- For those who would like to refresh the foundations of faith.
Course history
The Alpha course is a very important part of the activity of our Church and Center. During the 10 years of running the courses, many people found God and the community they were looking for. They were here prepared to receive the sacraments – the first confession, communion, confirmation and often also marriage.
In addition, many of our parishioners came to meetings to deepen their faith, establish relationships, share testimonies of their faith, organize meetings in small groups and at conferences – describes Ms. Galina, one of the organizers of the Alpha Course in our parish.
