Dear friends!

The last two days were filled with intense work. We focused on villages near Makarov (50 km from Fastiv), ​​which have recently been cleared of Russian invaders. It was necessary to deliver the necessary food and basic necessities as soon as possible to the scared, hungry and sick people (special thanks to Volodymyr (Włodzimierz) Horbyk and the team!). Our Friends and volunteers cannot reach certain places because the roads are still mined. But we expect the situation to change for a better day by day. We are in contact with volunteers and representatives of the administration of 5 different cities to help evacuate women and children. We kindly ask you for your prayers in this matter, because the humanitarian situation is very complex – yesterday the occupiers fired at a humanitarian convoy near Chernihiv …

I would like to say a few words about our “cellar life”. Alarms often sound, and that is why a month ago we decided to sleep in the church basement, in rooms that are on both sides of our lower chapel, because it is safer for our young people. This has its positive effect, because we gather as a large family, in which someone prays on the head, someone laughs while telling stories, boys discuss what car to choose in a computer game… And we all have a feeling of extraordinary unity in this family atmosphere. It is a bit like staying in a tent in the mountains or during a pilgrimage to Berdyczów. The big drawback is that you can’t make a fire…
