Christ is risen!
This week, we celebrated the first anniversary of the social cuisine in Kherson. It was a difficult time, given the frequent shelling, lack of water supply and electricity. In spite of all these difficulties, we have seen this help with a pleasure and supports this difficult time. People come daily, they communicate – it involuntarily created a support group where everyone is important, and not lonely!
To date, 18 volunteers serve in Kherson. They start their day to get out of their homes and start making preparations at 6 a.m. A little more than a month ago, we opened a social bakery. Together with the volunteers, it is not the first time that the bakery and confectioner of the San Angelo coffee shop went to Kherson. This time, to bake 520 paskas for the Armed Forces, to encourage our defenders.
Thank you for the financial support to the Holy Father Pope Francis, represented by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski. Thanks to your support, we have prepared 140 591 lunches for the long -suffering Kherson region. Thank you for the assistance of the Kherson City Military Administration – Kherson City Council and Mr. Roman Mrochko – Kherson MBA Head. Thank you for your hospitality, Father Maxim Padlevsky, of the parish of the Most Holy Heart of Jesus.
It is important to mention that in Kherson we handed over a truck to the military unit A7053, to increase defense and enhance logistic decisions. This car is a humanitarian aid and a gift of the rector of the Roman Catholic parish of St. Otto, thank you for the help of Mr. Ireneusz Gajlun and the Foundation Be Hero UA.
Although humanitarian aid logistics is much more complicated, we continue to assist and strengthen the lonely or disabled and the families with many children. This week, we packed and carried 3332 food kits and a total of 25,000 kg of humanitarian aid for the victims of the Russian aggression.
