Praised be Jesus Christ!

Hope conquers all despair! It contains many ordinary and unusual things: smiles of wards, caring hands of our volunteers, friends and well-wishers who call and support us. Today, near a store in Borodyanka, I overheard a conversation between two elderly people who, after receiving a grocery set, praised it: how good it is that there is sugar and canned goods and also pasta. I felt a certain amount of pride that we can now help these people who were under occupation.

Today, more than ever, the formerly occupied territories and their inhabitants need ordinary joy – it is absolutely necessary to rebuild and restore destroyed and wounded hearts.

Today in Borodyanka is a special day for the families of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We organized a charity event together with the San Angelo cafe – we distributed 500 burgers and hotdogs free of charge. The children could enjoy popcorn and cotton candy, lemonade, kvass – such drinks were presented to the children by the director of the Siebert Brewery, Ms. Lubow Onyshchuk. The event was attended by our Dominican brothers Fr. Wojciech Gomulka and Fr. Oleksandr Orikhovskyi with the youth who are holding the Alive festival, they preached and prayed for peace in Ukraine! We cordially invite you to attend our festival on 21.08 in Fastiv at the church at 19.00.

This week, we distributed 1320 grocery sets (7635 kg); aid was sent to Kharkiv, Borodyanka, Byshiv, Andriivka, humanitarian aid was provided to families of soldiers and families of fallen Heroes. Our volunteers inspected all the houses that received help with roofing materials, people are in a hurry to cover their homes, because autumn is near. We are happy for every home to which family comfort and warmth returns.

Next week we are starting a project to prepare children for school, as we mentioned earlier, we aim to prepare school stationery sets for 1000 children from the formerly occupied territories. We ask for your financial support. It was a great joy for us that the cargo that “for technical reasons was lost”, was found these days. We thank the coordinator HELP.UKRAINE.CENTER for the help in finding the cargo and the Foundation of Polish Mobile Hospitals for this valuable gift. We finally received 2 pallets of food supplements, which will be useful for children and soldiers exhausted by injuries. Thanks to everyone who reads, prays, supports. Together to victory.

With memory in prayer,

Father Michal OP
