The school year will begin in a few days, it will be quite a difficult year. The war forced a large number of people to flee. Currently, there are a lot of refugees in the city – families from the East and South of the country, looking for a shelter from the torrent of human hatred and violence, like once the Holy Family. Children of these families have to continue their school education, and there are many of them … On Thursday, 350 families received material assistance – including school equipment for 100 children of younger school age; some of these children will begin their education at our first-level school (I -IV class)! Thank you for helping to buy school supplies for the lay Dominican community in the Dutch Zvolle!

The demand from Kharkiv and the oblast, and generally from the eastern part of the country, is growing all the time. Over the past few days, we have distributed 560 food packages (approx. 3000 kg).

For the last two months we have been working intensively on the renovation of the Nursing Home on Kijowska Street – we are in a hurry to prepare some places for people without shelter to survive this winter! We expect that we will be able to renovate the ground floor to accommodate single mothers with small children, elderly people who have nowhere to hide. We thank all the benefactors who support this project of ours, especially Mr. Oleh from Poltava! Please join us in such an important work!
