Praised be Jesus Christ!

There are stories that we remember, that sink deep into our hearts … One of them is about a certain man from Makarov. At the beginning of April, we visited the place where his house had been burnt to the ground by the Russians. This man built it steadfastly in recent years, and just before the war he lost his leg and almost lost his arm, and now, fortunately, he is in treatment abroad. Oksana and I were wondering how to help him so that after the treatment was completed he had a place to come back to. One day, the situation changed: friends gathered to help and the walls are already standing, we brought roofing material and in a few days the roof will be covered, there will be a place where he can return after rehabilitation… Such stories of ordinary people give strength and instill hope in the heart that we will win.

Yesterday we distributed school articles in Zahaltse, Andriyivka and Nowy Karahoda.

Children cannot go to school yet, because the school buildings are dilapidated, so they will learn remotely, but as the children themselves say, they miss school, friends, sports sections. Hopefully they will return to normal school life as soon as possible. Thank you to the Dominican lay community in Zwolle, for support, for solidarity and love for the children of our Ukraine in need.

Thank you for supporting the education of our children at St. Martin de Porres Centre. I especially express my appreciation to the Freta Charitable Foundation for the St. Jacek’s Fair, which took place in Warsaw on August 13-15, where funds for children’s education were collected; PLN 20,852.76 was collected, we thank the Dominican Fathers from our monastery in Warsaw at 10 Freta Street for their constant support – may God reward everyone for their time and strength.

In the last three days, we distributed 344 parcels in targeted aid, which amounted to 2,650 kg of food. Our greatest joy is the opportunity to share the necessary products with those who are currently suffering and on the verge of starvation. We sent help to Kharkiv and Kherson, we thank all the benefactors and volunteers.
