Christ is born!

Such an incredible week is behind us! We celebrated Christmas, and we also consecrated our social dining room and the premises of the first social laundry for the needy in Fastiv. We thank the papal alms distributor Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who visited us and spoke words of comfort and hope. Among the warm meetings was also a breakfast of all our employees and volunteers with whom we shared the meal. This is Christmas in our parish community and a special Christmas dinner in the social kitchen in front-line Kherson, to which so many needy people come. In all this, despite the troubles of war, we believe that hope is greater than despair, we believe that everything that is before us is specially illuminated by God’s light and this gives us the strength to move forward.

Many of our friends and acquaintances wrote us congratulations these days. We thank all those who celebrated these days with us, especially our guests from Warsaw, Charytatywni Freta (Freta street Charitables). We also thank those who helped us this week and sent humanitarian aid shipments, in particular, Dobry Brat (the Good Brother Charitable Foundation), thank you Mr. Mariusz Markowski.

At this time, we also shared… I want to remember a wonderful holiday for children in Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region. Thank you for the cooperation Anna Prykhodko to Rika Sontsia (the River of the Sun). Thank you Humanitarian Nova Poshta, which was our friend this year and sent all humanitarian shipments to those in need in Ukraine at its own expense. Among the requests this week are also the military, whom we constantly support.

Here in the end I would like to say that we thank all those who supported our collection for fabric for sewing thermal clothes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We planned to collect 70,000, in the end we purchased material for 97,740, which will give our craftsmen the opportunity to sew 140 sets of high-quality thermal underwear for our Defenders. Thank you to everyone who warmed the Defender with care and support!

May these Christmas lights – this New Year 2025 on the threshold of which we stand – be a sign of hope for us that the victory and peace that we all so desire are getting closer and closer to us.
