Many children spend the beginning of December waiting for a miracle, because they are waiting for St. Nicholas. This year, Ukraine celebrates together with European countries. It depended on us that the children of Kherson region and Kharkiv region received the gifts, so that the gift from the Holy Miracle Worker would bring a smile to the places where children live under shelling.

We thank the Friends of St. Nicholas: the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Mr. Jacek Gocłowski, Charitables Freta and the Charitable Foundation, volunteer Mr. Pavlo Bandazhevsky, who delivered the gifts to the children. Thanks to Nova Poshta Humanitarian, which delivered gifts to the children at its own expense.

Thanks to Mr. Krzysztof from Raicz, Poland, who despite the difficult journey brought sweets for the children. In general, with our joint efforts, we gave gifts from St. Nicholas to three thousand children. It’s just a pity that they couldn’t bring what the children so sincerely asked for – “peace”, “father’s return from the war” and “mother not to cry”… – Let’s keep praying, please, let’s knock… ​

This week, our volunteers delivered humanitarian aid to Odesa, where we have been supporting forcibly displaced families from the Kherson region for over a year. This time, according to the request, we delivered grocery sets, household chemicals, diapers. Also, in the sewing workshop of our Center, thermal underwear for our defenders was sewn and sent to the Donetsk direction. We thank Ms. Oksana Volkova for her quick and painstaking work.

The cold and humidity bother us the most this winter, so we ask you for chemical heaters, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, gas burners, generators, warm clothes, in particular of large sizes, maybe someone can help with rescue thermal blankets, warm socks with high ankles, it can also be ordinary warm medical socks, thermoses, batteries and flashlights.

This week, we distributed 2,430 basic food kits to the most needy, which amounted to a total of 17,300 kg of humanitarian aid. We are directing all these efforts to overcome the consequences of Russian military aggression. We would like to thank our partner PrJSC “Myronivsky Plant for the Production of Cereals and Compound Feeds” for your humanitarian aid of 1000 kg of oatmeal and 1000 liters of fragrant sunflower oil. We would like to thank the Dolindo Volunteer Center in the person of the director, Mr. Yevhen Ivanyuk, for the comprehensive assistance. Thank you Univest Marketing, in the person of Mr. Volodymyr Kudryashov, for allocating humanitarian aid in the form of clothes and disposable dishes for our social kitchen in Kherson, thank you for your generosity and memory.

Thank you to the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and the Agency for Strategic Reserves, which delivered humanitarian aid to Fastiv this week, your support and solidarity is very important for us today. We thank the lay dominican community in Zwolle, the Netherlands, who gave us their financial support with the post “humanitarian help in winter”. We thank the community of parishioners from Zwolle for their gift of friendship and support. Thanks to our Ukrainian and German friends from Bonn, who sent a donation to our paypal this week.
