A small report on how we have survived the week. So far the third group of our volunteers rested and recovered in the Carpathians – this is an important element of integration into joint teamwork.
At the moment, about 60 volunteers are involved in our various centers of service (Fastiv, Kherson, as well as Zalyman and Protopopivka in Kharkiv region).
In general, this week was exhausting, we gave out 3,057 food kits of targeted aid, 24,500 kg of humanitarian aid.
We visited our friends in village Zavody in the Izyum district, where we are currently repairing 7 houses after their destruction by the enemy. People are rebuilding on their own, waiting for electricity, bought pets, harvest crops from patches of land that have been demined. Incredible hospitality – we were offered four dinners in each house yesterday. We are grateful for openness and kindness.
This week, we have received humanitarian aid and folding beds from the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and the Agency for Strategic Reserves, which will be delivered next week to villages affected by flooding in the Kherson Region. This week we are still collecting equipment for this long-suffering region and we are asking for your support.
