Praise Jesus Christ!

The wounds caused by the war will take years to heal, meeting people whose families are divided is very painful and I want to find a medicine that will help and heal them as quickly as possible. This week we assembled a modular house in the village of Pochepin near Makarow. Oleksandr and Walentyna lost their house that burned down and were forced to flee. Mrs. Walentyna suffers from a disability and cannot walk. Mr. Oleksandr returned to the village to the site of fire, but his wife could not come with him. The modular house that we have installed will give them the opportunity to be together. We’ve heard dozens of such stories in recent months. 63 people, including 23 children and 19 pensioners, live in 20 modular houses that we have installed in the last 2 weeks. We thank the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Minister Michał Dworczyk and the Polish Governmental Agency for Strategic Reserves. We also thank Mr. Oleksandr Wołyniec, Mr. Vadym Podgorn for logistics, Mr. Volodymyr Ivanchenko, we thank the brewery “Zibert” in the person of Mrs. Lyubov Onyszczuk for providing storage space for humanitarian aid for free.

During these days, we distributed 1,000 food kits (over 6 tons) for the Kiev region, Chernihiv region and Luhansk region. We would like to thank the wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine, Mrs. Monika Kapa-Cichocka for organizing a humanitarian donation of clothing from LPP Ukraine and cosmetics from Bella Trade LLC and Plastic Ukraine for delivery and logistics. We thank Mr. Denys Magelatia for purchasing electric cookers for families who have lost their homes. Thanks to all the volunteers who work tirelessly – this week we had a couple from Poland and last month a volunteer from Great Britain. Everyone is important, I thank you for your sacrifice and I pray for you every day!

With memory in prayer,
Fr. Michał Romaniv OP
