Praised be Jesus Christ!
Every day at 8:00 am during the Eucharist, we thank God for a new day. Under these circumstances, these are not just beautiful words. At 9:15 we meet with the volunteers and distribute the responsibilities for the whole day.
Today 154 people left for Poland – not only from Fastiv, but also from other cities. Part of the group was taken by our new Friends from the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Warsaw. During the day, we carried gifts for large families from outside Fastiv, as well as for the Fastiv Veterans’ Association. All these meetings are full of hope for a better tomorrow.
Today I had a conversation with a friend from St. Petersburg who kept repeating in a trembling voice: “We are very sorry … We are with you!” For me, it was a beautiful sign of common people’s solidarity. It is very important!
About an hour ago, a group of 30 people (women and children!) came from near Gostomla – tired and scared. Now they are in a safe place. Together, our Center accommodates over 60 people today. We expect that this night will be good and peaceful for them, as well as for us.
