Fastiv, 14.03.2022

Praised be Jesus Christ!

Today, the situation in Fastiv is quite stable, despite the fact that from the north we hear noises from the outbreaks of war. The village of Jasnohorodka and its surroundings, which lie about 38 km north of us, were shelled by Russian artillery.

Today is another sad day. We said goodbye to the inhabitant of our city – Mr. Piotr Czechowicz – who gave his life in the fights for our country. It was extremely difficult to stand next to the father who lost his son and clung to the daughter of the fallen defender. We thank Mr. Piotr for his heroism and sacrifice. Glory to the heroes!

Our Friends from Warsaw, Grześ Pilat, Józek Czarnocki, Piotr Roszkowski, Paweł Bebech, evacuated 36 people today – women and children. We are trying to prepare the evacuation of those people who live in places from which it is currently difficult or impossible to leave (we mean the east and south of Ukraine, as well as some areas of the Kiev region).

Today our volunteers brought food for nearly 300 elderly people. We continue to bake bread, distribute it to the needy and deliver it to the Territorial Defense. We are organizing a pharmacy point that will start helping those in need tomorrow (March 15). Medicines are critically lacking, especially sedatives!
We would like to thank our friends “Charytatywni Freta” for the wonderful fair organized in Warsaw. There were many Ukrainians who wanted to buy Ukrainian books. We must collect them and pass them on to you! Thank you for your prayers and material help!
