Praised be Jesus Christ!

This is an exceptional week for us. After many years of renovation and arrangement, we launched our Social Center of the Holy Name of Jesus. The first round of rehabilitation for our volunteers from Kherson, who live in the combat zone, took place.

It was important for us that these days in our Center became days of recovery. After constant tension, shelling and military challenges, everyone who lives under the threat of daily attacks needs time to rest.

We wanted people to be able to breathe at least for a moment, give their body and heart a rest. To remember that even in the most difficult times, there is a place for care and support.

Rehabilitation consisted of several components: spiritual, physical and mental recovery.

Our volunteers independently painted icons of the Virgin Mary – carefully, step by step, putting their faith, hope and strength into each movement.

Silence, creativity and peace.

These are so lacking where every day is a test.

They also visited a hydromassage, a salt room, physical therapy, underwent heat therapy, manual massage, and used the services of a hairdresser, beautician, and manicurist.

Our volunteers continue to work in Kherson. This week, water was delivered to the residents of the village of Sonyachnyi. Transportation of people with reduced mobility is constantly taking place in Kherson, as part of a project with the NGO Strong Because Free. We provide constant assistance with long-term food products to our defenders.

When there is help, when there is time for rehabilitation, when prayer sounds, then peace is born. Together we learn to hold on, find strength, and support those who are nearby.
