Praised be Jesus Christ!
It was an absolutely exceptional week — as always, as every first week of June for many years in a row.
We organize holidays for the children of our city — and not only.
In the early years, we traveled a lot to other areas: we celebrated with children in Borodyanka, Makariv…
And this time, children from the villages of Andriivka, Nezhylovychi and Nalyvaykivka came to us. These are children from areas that suffered shelling, losses, and temporary occupation. Many of them survived the most difficult first months of the full-scale war. And now — they were able to attend the holiday. Together with the children of our school and the Development Space.
A total of 320 children took part in the holiday. This is a special joy for us. In those difficult days, after enemy attacks, we received a real gift — a day in which there was no fear, no anxiety. The children could rejoice.
They could enjoy the holiday, each other, and themselves. And, as always, all this was made possible thanks to the support of our Friends and benefactors. We sincerely thank the volunteers of the St. Martin Foundation, San Angelo Café, and the Catholic School of St. Martin de Porres for preparing the event.
For organizing the musical program, we thank the director of the Fastiv DMSh, Mykola Andriyovych Sokyrko; for financial support, the family of Mr. Witold Nawrocki and the Paleolit community (Poznan, Poland); Freta Charitables (Warsaw, Poland); for sweet drinks, the director of Ziberta Brewery LLC, Lyubov Ivanivna Onyshchuk; for sweets for the children, the “Good Brother Charitable Foundation” and XENIA Association (Poland); for disposable tableware — Univest LLC “Univest Marketing Company”.
This week we were also able to send humanitarian cargo to Odessa, Chernihiv region and various military units. We can help — because we ourselves receive help. And this inspires and gives strength.
A special thanks — to Ms. Aleksandra Kamińska, director of the Zupa na Monciaku Foundation Poland — for the memory and constant friendly support. Thanks to people like you, we can do so much good together.
We also sincerely thank for the financial support of the social canteen in Fastiv to the Sewing Factory “Kozak” in the person of the director Mr. Oleksandr Panasyuk. Thanks to your care, responsible approach and financial participation in May, we were able to strengthen the resilience of our community in this difficult time and feed 5110 residents of Fastiv — elderly people, internally displaced persons, large families and all those who need daily support. Your good has concrete fruits. Thank you for your openness, concern and joint work for a dignified life for every person.
May the Holy Spirit come.
This is how we want to receive Him – truly, together, for our land.
May the Lord heal wounds.
May He grant unity, participation, support.
May the Holy Spirit come – and renew the face of our land.
May He heal.
May He grant love and closeness.
May He break all evil.
May He turn every night into day.
And every day He gives us strength – so that we can endure until victory.
In every good.
With prayers
Fr. Mykhailo Romaniv OP
