The nights are getting cold, particularly in the East, and this is felt by requests from the military and the civilian population. We have already handed over 30 baby blankets and warm clothes, we are also asking for your help. We need gas cylinders with burners, power banks, over-the-counter cold medicines, warm socks, sleeping bags, blankets, generators.

This week we were in Kherson with a humanitarian mission. The shelling of the city and its surroundings has settled down, but people still need to be evacuated. That’s why we decided to expand cooperation with NGO Strong Because Free, with the support of our friend and the kind director of Neon Effect, Zygmunt Skołożyński. Together, we started a project to evacuate people with reduced mobility from Kherson. You can see a video about it in our previous post.

We also visited the village of Zimivnyk, which is very much under fire. There, we handed over household appliances and humanitarian aid, collected in Poland by the Dominican Academic pastoral Górka and the Zupa Charitable Foundation in Monczak. In September, our social kitchen in Kherson served 13,010 meals.

We thank our benefactors and volunteers who work hard every day and feed the needy. We thank the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and the Strategic Reserves Agency for the substantial and generous humanitarian aid, which is very important and valuable for us. This week, we distributed 1,970 food kits and 14,500 kg of humanitarian aid. Thanks to the Paleolithic Community from Poznań for collecting food aid and delivering it to Fastiv. Thanks for this to Mr. Ireneusz Gajlun for his selfless volunteer service, as well as Krzysztof, a volunteer from Poznań.
