The new school year has begun. At the end of this week, we organized a holiday for children who entered our school of St. Martin. This year, it is also attended by the children of our forcibly displaced fellow citizens from the East of Ukraine, who especially need a sense of home care and help from society! Thank you for supporting Freta Charity-Charity Foundation, who collected annual scholarships for 8 children of our school at St. Jack’s Fair.
This week, 300 school kits were sent to villages that suffered from the Russian occupation in Chernihiv Oblast, as well as for 100 children in Borodianka.
Over the last few days, our volunteers donated 990 food parcels (4,994 kg), half of this humanitarian aid was given to forcibly displaced people living in Fastiv, mainly families from Kharkiv, Donetsk region and southern Ukraine.
Today we were visited by guests: from Rome – the theologian of the Pontifical House, Fr. Wojciech Giertych, and from the United States – Fr. Christopher Fadok, Provincial Superior of the Dominicans in California, Fr. Jacek Buda, Provincial Socius, and with our Dominican vicar in Ukraine, Fr. Jarosław Krawiec. Together with our volunteers, they visited the places of our ministry in Borodyanka, Andriiwka, Pochepin. Thank you for helping our benefactors and for serving our volunteers. Together to victory!
