This week ends with the celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, a celebration of our parish community. It is also a special day for four of our volunteers who received Holy Communion for the first time today.

During the entire time of our volunteer activity since February 2022, we give out humanitarian aid in the form of clothes three times a week at our Center. Every week, Fastiv residents bring more than 3,000 kg of clothes to the container standing on the square – we thank the townspeople for their help. Collected clothes, bedding, children’s things (during this time we distributed 220,000 kg) not only for IDPs, but we also send them to hospitals in the South and East – wherever people need them. Today is City Day, so I would like to thank Fastiv residents for their openness and kind hearts.

This week, we have distributed 1,224 basic food kits, and a total of 9,700 kg of humanitarian aid.

Thanks for the support to the NGO Dovira, who gave us flour. We thank our volunteer Mr. Ireneusz, who is concerned about us and once again brought us humanitarian aid from Poland, as well as a gift from the parish of St. Otto from Kamen Pomorski, a car that will help us in humanitarian missions. Thank you, Mrs. Marta Malewska from the foundation BE A HERO UA, for processing documents. Thanks to the bakery “Good Bread from Good People” for your support for the social kitchen in Kherson, for the bread that you send free of charge to the long-suffering Kherson region. This week, our kitchen served 2,771 meals. We thank our volunteers in Kherson for their generosity. It is already getting colder, we are starting to think for those whose homes have not yet been restored after flooding due to the explosion of the Kakhovka dam. We understand that it is not easy for everyone, so we are grateful to everyone who supports us. We are preparing the next humanitarian mission to Kharkiv region, we ask for your support.
